C.I.T.E.S stands for “Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of wild fauna and flora”. It’s an international agreement meant to regulate the export of Hoodia Gordonii out of Africa. Due to the limited supply for Hoodia Gordonii available in African plantations, and the extremely high demand for it, regulation of export is much needed in order to make sure Hoodia Gordonii will not be extinct.
The C.i.t.e.s certificate is required to export Hoodia Gordonii out of Africa, so make sure the company you buy Pure Hoodia from has a one, otherwise it’s likely their product is not authentic.
